THE QUILTER'S CLOSETA quilter's exchange market.

Sell your work

Sell your work where it's treated as work.

List a finished quilt with the maker named, the story told, and the price set to reflect the hours behind it. You keep 90 percent of every sale. Our team reviews each maker personally.

How it works

Four steps from sewing table to storefront.

i.

Photos and details.

Four photos tell a quilt best: the full piece, a corner, the back, and the stitching up close. Add the size, technique, and materials.

ii.

The story.

Where it came from, what it is made of, why it matters. A maker's note is optional, but quilts with a story told sell faster.

iii.

Pricing and shipping.

Set a price with a suggested range to guide you, then choose shipping or local pickup. No apology, no race to the bottom.

iv.

A last look, then our team.

Review everything, then send it in. Our team reads every listing before it goes live. Nothing is published automatically.

How pricing works

You keep 90 percent. We keep the lights on.

One commission, 10 percent, taken only when a quilt sells. No listing fees, no monthly cost, no charge for photos or storage. The buyer pays UPS Ground shipping on top of the price, so your payout is the full asking price minus that one commission.

  • Free to list. You are charged nothing until a quilt sells.
  • A 10 percent commission comes out of each sale. Nothing else does.
  • Rounding always favors the maker. A fractional cent lands with you, never with us.
  • The buyer pays UPS shipping, a flat rate by weight. It goes to UPS, never out of your payout.

The editorial promise

Every listing is read before it goes live.

Nothing publishes automatically. Our team reads each listing, sometimes adds a light touch to the story, and only then does a quilt reach the marketplace. It keeps the standard high and the storefront honest, so a buyer arriving at your quilt trusts what they are reading.
